what about being able to buy points?

Post 2 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Saturday, 30-Oct-2010 10:54:10

well, technically speaking, there are lots of websites that generate revenue from the sale of virtual things. i.e. the game farmville nets profits of several million $s a year from the sale of virtual things for real money.

The question you have to ask is whether there are enough mugs out there willing to pay real money for points which serve no purpose other than to play the games, some of which can be played for free in order to generate free points. And I think the answer to that would have to be no, which does not make this a viable suggestion.

I don't understand why anyone would want to pay good money for worthless points. Many people, including me, have freely transferred points to people who ask. So ask a friend or ask me and you just might get points.

to the original poster, really?

why would you want to buy points

they are worthless anyway. not sure i understand where you're coming from

I agree with all that's been said. I don't comprehend why anyone would want to buy something virtual that serves no purpose, whether it be points or something for a game.

Are you kidding? I can't even afford the things I need. I'm certainly not going to buy points. If you want points that badly, ask someone who has lots of them, or play some games, like this:
Hey LibraLady, can I have some points? Lol.

Well, to be honest, I'm usually on the sending end of those points. I'll send you over a hundred million if you want them, and it'll be free! Imagine that.

Oh come on Dan, don't taunt us like that and then be boring. *Grin*

Post 9 by illumination (Darkness is history.) on Saturday, 30-Oct-2010 22:03:42

Dan, let it out, man. lol
I agree with all the other posts. I'm not going to buy points that aren't even worth buying.

Post 10 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 1:12:35

Oh where's you all's sense of a free market economy? Really? Nobody so much as proffered a bargain and a Paypal address? *disappointed look*
So post 1 make me a point per point offer: What's your exchange rate?

Post 11 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 5:31:57

actually leo has a point!

I have 116 billion points. How much will you pay me for them?

Post 12 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 7:16:49

Hmmm, very true, Leo. Thanks for making us think about it this way. Grin.

lol. this topic is turning in to a joke.

james, perhaps next time you start a topic, it might be nice if you explained the benifits of what you're suggesting.

Post 15 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 15:31:14

Oooo, yeah. I'll sell my points. Name a price, and they're yours! Haha.

Post 16 by AgateRain (Believe it or not, everything on me and about me is real!) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 16:28:37

lol Buying points?

Oh well, since he thinks we should mine are 25% off and I'm selling them for $10.00...

Post 17 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 16:33:22

Dan, what were ya gonna say that was "uncalled for"? I'm curious.

Post 18 by synthesizer101 (I just keep on posting!) on Sunday, 31-Oct-2010 18:03:36

This is the general reason that I think the pot thing on trivia only for premiums is kind of a stupid thing--after all, points are worthless. I charge 1 cent per point. I have 24000 and then some. That'll be $240.00, please. Oh, wait! I remember that you're in the U.K. I'll just charge a pound a point.

Post 19 by forereel (Just posting.) on Monday, 01-Nov-2010 1:09:28

Have we thought of status? If you want to be the one with the most points and you don't know if people will give them to you, then you buy some and you can be top dog in points. A sense of feeling good? Now I'll sale mine too. Lol

Post 20 by Stevo (The Established Ass) on Monday, 01-Nov-2010 1:15:14

Perhaps a thousand points for every USD, but a 60% tax for converting back the other way. lol

Post 21 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Monday, 01-Nov-2010 8:31:55

No. I'll sell mine for a penny a point. That'll still be $1000000, please. Haha.

Dan, now you have to tell us what you were going to say.

Post 22 by synthesizer101 (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 02-Nov-2010 22:23:53

I'll play stones four times and get another dollar! What fun! I never knew that these games were so beneficial before!

Post 23 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Wednesday, 03-Nov-2010 16:15:10

Damn. wouldn't that be the life? Hell yeah! Unfortunately, there's this thing. what's it called again? Oh yeah. the real world! It sucks, doesn't it?
